Essay: Parent punishment should or should not

Many parent use punishment to teach the difference between right and wrong to kids. Many think punishment is necessary to held children learn the distinction between right and wrong. To what extend do you agree and disagree?

In the modern life, it is undoubtedly true that punishment is the easiest way for parent to point out their children what is right or wrong. At the first sight, this seems effective but on closer, many people argue that this method’s disadvantages dominate its advantages and I strongly agree with it. In this essay, this argument will be analysed in detail.

It is fairly easy to understand the reason why this proposal has been made. The reason is that whenever the kids make wrong thing, they will be punished and the next time they will not do the same thing. These would be at least two disadvantages to this. Not only the physical injury but also the psychological wound has been created. For example, if the children are suffered a lot of punishment, they will scare everything and not try to do new things because of being punished.

This is also, however, a strong argument not to implement this proposal. This argument is base on that retribution can turn the children into a bad manner. Let’s take an illustration. If the children has been suffered too much punishment from their parent because of doing wrong things, there will be two ways for their upbringing. One is that they scare everything and another way is that they will hate their parent and no longer care about being punished so they will become a bad manner of society.

In a nutshell, it can not deny the affection of punishment in teaching children. There are both disadvantages and advantages in this issue. My own personal view is that if the children do wrong things, parent should sit down and analyse for them why it is wrong and in the next time they should not do it again.

Essay: Keeping pets

Topic: Too much attention is paid to and too much money is spent on keeping pets, while people through out the world are starving.

Discuss the arguments for and against keeping  pets.

Recently, keeping pets is one of the most controversial issues. It has generated a lavish deal of heated debate in over the world. Reportedly, the amount of money spent on keeping pets is increasing gradually instead of using for many starving regions whilst some people are in the opposite side. In this essay, I am going to analyze this issue from both points of view.

It is unarguable that ore and more money are invested in pets. Taking Paris Hilton as an example, she is a rich woman and she has just built a luxury house for her pets, which costs approximately 1 million dollars. If this amount of money used for donating some volunteer action, many famine could be fought back. From this, it can be said that humans are wasting their money for many unimportant purpose such as keeping pets instead of investing in more beneficial goals.

On the other hand, many recent researches have shown that pets play an important role in human’s life. In the modern life, young people are too busy with their business, their family and career. Sometimes they forget their responsibility with the old such as their parent or grandparent. So the old people have t share their emotions with their friends or their loyal pets. Besides that, pets such as dog are very helpful in guiding the blind people. For this reason, keeping pets is essential demand, which makes world more interesting and colorful.

My personal conclusion is that although keeping pets makes us invest time and money but it is undoubtedly that life will be much more monotonous if it is without pets
